When illness enters our lives or as we face the varied challenges of aging, we tend to feel cut off from our usual support systems, religious practices, and spiritual roots. You may wish to talk to someone knowledgeable, experienced, and conversant in the language and meaning of religious and spiritual needs.
Chaplains at Surrey Place are available at all times to provide pastoral care to persons and families of all faiths.
Our chaplains represent diverse faith traditions and are acquainted with various religious resources in the community when specific referrals are requested. They serve both Surrey Place and St. Luke's Hospital, providing continuity of care should you be transferred to St. Luke's Hospital.
Request our services, including that of a Roman Catholic priest, a Jewish rabbi, or an Imam by making your desire known to a member of your health care team or by calling the Pastoral Care Office at 314-542-4748. You may also submit your request by clicking here.
The Chapel at Surrey Place, located off the main lobby, is open at all times for prayer and meditation. A prayer sheet is located in the back of the Chapel for those wishing to convey any concerns to be prayed for in the worship services. All are welcome to attend any service of their choosing.
Know that we say daily prayers in the Evening Prayer Service for all Surrey Place residents, their families and loved ones, and the Surrey Place staff.
