Alzheimers Care
The staff at Surrey Place is sensitive to the unique healthcare needs of persons with Alzheimers disease and related dementias. By creating a social atmosphere for these individuals and their family members, our Special Care Unit is dedicated to providing a structured environment focusing on individuality and wellness.

Surrey Place provides a quiet setting with features and visual cues to help reduce the anxiety and confusion typically experienced by persons with Alzheimers disease. Our residents are in secured surroundings that maintain safety without comprising dignity. Activities are designed to match the abilities and interests of each person and help to promote optimal functioning. The Special Care Unit has an enclosed Memory Garden with patio furniture and a water fountain so the residents may enjoy all outdoor seasons at Surrey Place.

Residential Care
Single persons living in the residential-care division enjoy independent living with the security of knowing staff is close at hand. Each private room at Surrey Place is furnished; however, residents are welcome to bring along special belongings that make them feel more at home. The residential care division includes a spacious lounge and private patio for relaxation. Residents may even arrange to invite family members for a special catered dinner. The licensed professional nursing staff is available to provide personalized care for each resident.

Short-Term Rehabilitation
As healthcare changes, the need for short-term rehabilitation increases. Surrey Place provides many services for individuals requiring short-term medical intervention after acute care hospitalization. Surrey Place offers a progressive approach to rehabilitation. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy are available to residents six days a week if medically indicated. Nursing care is administered primarily by registered nurses working in conjunction with the professional services of a social worker; registered dietician and music therapist.
